Meetings are at 7:15 pm for 7:30 pm at Samlesbury War Memorial Hall unless otherwise stated.

From the M6 exit at junction 31, take the A 59 for Clitheroe.

After about 1 mile, move into right hand lane of dual carriageway. At first roundabout (by the Salmesbury Hotel, formerly called the Swallow Hotel - a white building on the left - and a filling station on the other side) double back onto A59 and immediately take left turn just past filling station onto B6230 Walton-le-Dale (Cuerdale Lane).

The venue is the first building on the right.

Note: not to be confused with Samlesbury Hall, which is further along the A677.

Getting ready to use Zoom (Practice session). For those who haven’t used Zoom before we are having a practice meeting so you can familiarise yourselves with how it works before the first lecture on 26 October. The practice session will enable us to iron out any difficulties that you might have. For joining instructions see email circulated by Mary on 6 October.
Monday 26 October 2020: 7:15 for 7.30pm (ZOOM) Geoff Hodge from Peterborough, 'Winter Colour in the Garden - Beating the winter blues'.
This will be our first talk via Zoom. Geoff is a garden writer, book author and local radio + TV broadcaster. This will be our first Zoom talk.

Peter is a plant scientist, writer and regular contributor to the HPS Journal. His talk promises to be provocative and amusing — just the thing to cheer us up in miserable November. Mary will send out details for the zoom link during the week of 12/11 so please check your emails that week.
